Strata Cookies and Local Storage
1. The cookie we set
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
strata_session |
Keeps you signed in to the dashboard. It holds a random token, is sent only to our sign-in endpoints, cannot be read by scripts (HttpOnly) and is not sent with requests from other sites (SameSite=Lax). It is sent only over HTTPS |
30 days from your last visit, or until you sign out |
This cookie is strictly necessary to provide the service you have asked for, so UK and EU law does not require your consent for it.
2. What we keep in your browser’s local storage
The dashboard stores these preferences in your browser. They never leave your device and contain nothing that identifies you. Our public website at strata.stream sets no cookies and stores only strata_theme.
| Key | What it remembers |
|---|---|
strata_theme |
Light or dark theme |
strata_graph_window |
The time window you chose for graphs |
strata_encoders_view |
Whether the encoder list is shown as cards or a table |
strata_encoder_details_open |
Whether the encoder details panel is open |
strata_return_to |
The page to return to after you sign in; deleted once used |
We may add similar preferences as the dashboard grows; this page will list them.
3. What we do not use
-
No analytics, advertising, social-media or tracking cookies or similar technologies.
-
No third-party scripts or fonts loaded from other sites: the dashboard is served entirely from our own servers.
-
When you sign in with Google or connect a YouTube channel, you visit Google’s own pages, where Google’s cookie policy applies.
4. Managing them
You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser’s settings at any time. If you delete the strata_session cookie you will be signed out; clearing local storage resets your display preferences.
